Dr. Henry Robert Du Preez

23/11/1938 – 12/09/2009

Born in Bredasdorp, Western Cape to a family of three.
A twin sister Elizabeth and younger brother Paul, also a renowned Equine vet.
He was a mad keen golfer and in his earlier years a water polo player from hence he inherited his nickname Crocky (short for Crocodile).
 
All this is unimportant though in the legacy that Crocky leaves behind as a veterinarian. A tireless worker, a man that called a “spade a spade at all times” regardless of the consequences.
 
A man that has left behind both colleagues, clients, and friends that remembers his legacy. His ultimate love was the pursuit of excellence in the treatment of flat racehorses in SA.
 
He is sorely missed.
