Hello everyone...

We have made our way through to a place called Koekenaap - a small farming community about 30km from Vredendal in the Western Cape Province. We are staying at the 22 Nama Karoo B&B owned by Naide and Doug Halstead. www.22namakaroo.co.za.  This is home from home for us and we are being housed, fed, watered - well taken care of. We are now 5145km into our journey and we want to say thank you to all our sponsors for supporting us thus far and making Riding for Horses possible.

The last few days we transported Roan and Himba down to Riversdale for some rest time. Roan has a slight swelling on his hock and we don´t want to risk an injury. It was very sad for us to part with them as we have lived side by side for over 6 months now. Sorina and Willie Geldenhuys from Montblanc adventure farm just outside Riversdale were kind enough to take care of our 2 boys for the next few weeks. Thank you Sorina and Willie.

Tomorrow we ride south in the direction of Lamberts Bay with Fever and Tarwood. We will ride down to Capetown and up the East Coast to Still Bay, about 40km from Riversdale, where we will pick up Roan and Himba in a few weeks from now. Through the busy areas around Capetown it is far safer for us to ride with one horse without leading another horse.
